mrshahcph on Tuesday, February 01, 2011 Centuries will pass before another voice of such calibre, elocution and style will be gifted to this planet again. No body could ever reach to their heights. They had complete control in all sorts of variations in singing. A naive pair, they could naturally justify the poetic lyrics and I think the poets created these inspired by their voice as they could imagine their creations just as the composers did, Lata & Rafi Sahib are immortal and their art will be remembered.(1st February 2011)
thehappiestman on Saturday, July 18, 2009 Ghulam Mohammad was music director of Pakeeza.Unfortunately he died before the release of this movie. Then Naushad took over charge of the rest of songs which were Kaun gaye le gayo shyam etc.But main HIT songs were composed by Great Gulam Mohammad
shani6163 on Monday, January 11, 2010 chalo dildaar chalo wow. soooo romantic.
nangamujra on Saturday, June 12, 2010 This is indo Islamic culture, beautiful urdu poetry, sweet indian music. Bollywood is the outflow of mughal court. Urdu poetry, dance, and music came to its Zenith during that era, and we still are picking fruits of that. The days are gone. And that culture will not come again. Its all gone.
piwanabongo on Sunday, June 20, 2010 Completely agree with the comments below...this was the classic era of South Asian film culture. The garbage coming from Bollywood now is a crass, cheap imitation of the sexual sensationalism and moral degradation from Hollywood.
Please post some more so that we can show our children how films should be.
Thanks for posting and thanks for the comments..happy to see there are others who have the same sentiments.
mukarung on Thursday, September 02, 2010 Meena Kumari was in really poor shape due to alcoholism. That's why they don't show her face in the video. I think she died before the movie came out. Sad.
